Denise H. Britigan, PhD, MA, CHES Dr. Britigan is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Promotion, Social and Behavioral Health in the Harold M. and Beverly Maurer Center for Public Health at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. Dr. Britigan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology, a Master of Arts degree in Library and Information Science, and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Health Education. She is a nationally certified health education specialist. Her work experiences include clinical, community, and academic settings. Dr. Britigan has research interests in the areas of health communication and health literacy with a goal to understand and transform how social determinants of health impact health disparities.
