Elke M Leeds, Ph.D.

Associate Vice President of Technology Enhanced Learning

Bio

Dr. Leeds provides leadership to the Division of Technology Enhanced Learning in Academic Affairs at Kennesaw State University. She crafted the strategic vision behind KSU-Online, new learning models, collaborative programs, KSU's digital badge initiative and the University System of Georgia's Coursera partnership. As the institutional partner in Georgia's MOOC initiatives, Dr. Leeds has partnered with faculty to offer Georgia's first MOOC in K12 blended and online learning. This was followed by a successful MOOC offering in CyberSecurity that has been offered without interruption since February, 2015. Kennesaw State University also launched two of the first project based learning MOOCs in 2016 on Writing Professional Email and Creating a Business Model Canvas. Dr. Leeds is a current Fellow in the Academy of Innovative Higher Education Leadership at Georgetown and Arizona State Universities. She specializes in creating sustainable business and learning models to augment credit based programs. She also established MOOC-to-credit and alternative prior learning-to-credit options for adult learners. Dr. Leeds currently teaches Executive Presence and Workplace Communication to executive level graduate students. She is passionate about supporting learners to develop and hone their leadership, presentation, and meeting management skills to successfully showcase executive presence and leverage opportunity.
