Bio

Melissa Loble is currently the Senior Director of the Canvas Network, an open education and MOOC platform that offers free and for cost courses to learners from around the world. Prior to taking on this leadership role, Melissa served as the Associate Dean for Distance Learning at UCI, where she focused on developing high quality, innovative learning opportunities for a diverse student base. Melissa has also worked for a number of other educational technology companies and organizations over the past 15 years, all with a passion for inspiring successful, high quality lifelong learning opportunities for students of all ages.

Melissa Loble is an instructor at UCI in this Virtual teacher program, which is focused on providing K12 teachers with ideas, research, examples, and communities for implementing highly successful virtual education. Melissa also is an adjunct faculty member at Pepperdine University in the Masters in Learning Technologies program, where she teaches courses including Managing Technology for Change and Leadership & Technology.

Melissa earned her BA in Political Science at UCLA, her MA in Educational Policy at Teachers College, and her MBA in Management at Columbia Business School.
