Welcome to 10,000 Women: Assessing Your Business Growth Potential. Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women is a global initiative that fosters economic growth by providing women business owners around the world with business and management education, mentoring and networking, and access to capital. The initiative was launched in 2008, based on a growing body of research to support the economic opportunity of investing in women. To date, over 10,000 women have completed the program from across 56 countries, and have seen immediate and sustained business growth. For the first time, this initiative is available online, designed to support women business owners everywhere. We recognize that growing a business requires hard work, determination and planning. This course is designed to provide you with the practical tools and ideas to help you manage these demands, ultimately leading you to grow your business. The 10,000 Women introductory course will develop your understanding of the three key ingredients of growth potential: you, your business and your opportunity. Through focused and tailored exercises, you will assess the strengths and weaknesses of your business and yourself as a business leader. You will also identify and refine your key opportunities for business growth. As you are working in an online environment, you will be connecting with like-minded business owners from around the world. The course will provide you with a unique forum to share your experiences, and provide support and advice to others. What can you do after this introductory course? Once you finish this introductory course, you will have the opportunity to continue your learning journey with 10,000 Women through a further 10 modules, leading to the development of your Business Growth Plan.   • Once you enroll for a Certificate, you’ll have access to all videos, quizzes, and programming assignments (if applicable). Peer review assignments can only be submitted and reviewed once your session has begun. If you choose to explore the course without purchasing, you may not be able to access certain assignments.

  • When you purchase a Certificate you get access to all course materials, including graded assignments. Upon completing the course, your electronic Certificate will be added to your Accomplishments page - from there, you can print your Certificate or add it to your LinkedIn profile. If you only want to read and view the course content, you can audit the course for free.

  • All course materials will be available from the date which the course is live. Though, the course can be completed entirely online, some resources are available to download, so that you can store them on your device or equipment to view offline to support poor connectivity.

  • The course is offered with an open start date, meaning that you can join the course at any time and complete the course in your own time. The course has been designed to be completed over two weeks, with approximately 4-5 hours of engagement each week.

  • This course is available to all, however it is designed for women business owners, recognising that women business owners face unique challenges when growing their business. The social aspects of the course are designed to allow women business owners the opportunity to learn from peers with similar backgrounds and experiences.

  • Participants are expected to own and run their own business. This may be a small business which has been running for a year or less or a larger established business. To participate in the course, you will need to have a full understanding of your business and be in a position to drive business growth as a business owner.
