Acerca del Curso

The goal of the course is to introduce students to Python Version 3.x programming using hands on instruction. It will show how to install Python and use the Spyder IDE (Integrated Development Environment) for writing and debugging programs. The approach will be to present an example followed by a small exercise where the learner tries something similar to solidify a concept. At the end of each module there will be an exercise where the student is required to write simple programs and submit them for grading. It is intended for students with little or no programming background, although students with such a background should be able to move forward at their preferred pace. The course is four modules long and is designed to be completed in four weeks. SPECIAL NOTE: Python Programming: A Concise Introduction course will close for new learner enrollment on 2/16/22. In order to earn a Course Certificate, you will need to complete all graded assignments by 8/16/22. If you are interested in earning a Course Certificate for this course, please upgrade or apply for Financial Aid by 8/16/22. Terrific content but presentation was a bit dry. Some more enthusiasm would have been helpful. Clearly the instructor is knowledgeable and cares about the material that should come thru more.

Great introduction to the Python programming language. Although the assignment marking seems a little rigid and tends to mark you down despite written functions achieving the expected outcomes.

It's a good course for beginners. Basics of Python are covered, although sometimes the instructions are a bit ambiguous. I'd also appreciate it more if the video had higher quality (clarity).

Nice and simple course, especially for neophytes. If you are a SW engineer, it will take 3-4 days to complete the entire course and, by the end, you will have a good base to move forward.

Well structured, especially for the beginners. Not boring but to the point. I suggest you to include some more applications like database which is the most fascinating part of the course.

It was a nice course with loads of information, wich I really believe helped me to start programming on python.

Anyway it was a bit problematic to upload the tasks due to the autograder

Cumple con el título del curso, es bastante conciso. No se ofrecen una explicaciones detalladas pero como curso introductorio sí ofrece un panorama de lo que se puede hacer con Python.

Very good course overall. Could have benefited from a little more explanation of the logic behind the syntax, rather than just examples of how to write code for different applications.

It would be better if the instructor could talk about the difference/advantages/disadvantages vs other languages, and what fields are python most useful over other languages.

The course is great for beginners! Simple, clear explanations of basic Python codes. However sometimes I would prefer more practical outputs (like working with real data).

The structure of the course is a little bit of loose, however it is generally good for people who have some programming backgrounds to get familiar with python syntax

The course teaches the basics as promised, but could be a bit more challenging.

Most exercises and tests can be completed by copying and pasting the lecture material.

Good basic course, not particularly challenging. Gives a broad overview of the language, should be ok for someone with basic knowledge on programming languages.

Should make the assignment question concise and precise so, that students can understand the questions properly, and can iprove the problem4_4() problem set! .

The expectation was a little more on the higher side with the course content. With a little more coverage on exception handling topics and object orientation.

Really nice course to get into Python. Explains the basics nicely.

It's also concise enough to go as a crash course in case one hasn't used python in a while.
