The next thing that we're going to add to our design palette is a style of imagery. Now, this could be anything that you want it to be. It could be an illustration in any kind of aesthetic style that you like, it could be photography, it could be 3D digital imagery. It's really up to you, and again, I'm going to give you an opportunity to add whatever style of imagery you think is appropriate. Whatever you think is right for your startup. For my particular startup, I think I'm going to try and use black and white photography. because I want it to have a little bit of an old feeling. I also want to use the aesthetic of old black and white street photography. Because it has a very French and hip aesthetic that I want to try and maintain in my identity. So you can see here, I'm very quickly just mocking up some ads so that I can see what my photography might look like in context. Now this is a good way, again, to test drive your photography, to see how it's going to work with your typeface choice, with your color palette, with your logo type, with your mark. And again, these are the things that can go back into your brand development guide, so they can show your process and how it's growing. And as you can see we're gradually putting all our components together and getting a more coherent voice. And if possible at this stage, you should really try and make your own imagery. So if you're using illustration, see if you can make those illustrations yourself. If you're using photography or photographic style, see if you can use that photographic style. So I'm just using standard images for now. And these are images that are just pulled off the Internet and you can search for things that are copyright free that allow you to use them. But you do have to be careful that if you're actually going to use any images, really for a client, you do have to pay for them and make sure that they're cleared by copyright. But for now, these are just really, again, these are just about look and feel. So if I was going to use this particular photographic style, I would use this as my inspiration, and I would try and recreate something similar myself.
