[MUSIC] [FOREIGN] >> [FOREIGN] >> [FOREIGN] I'm telling Rita that she's experienced a lot of people with traumatic experiences. [FOREIGN] She will explain to us how she treats Susto. >> [FOREIGN] >> Good afternoon. >> [FOREIGN] >> We want to explain the difference when somebody is real calm and in peace or when they experience a fright or a shock. >> [FOREIGN] >> In some occasions we can say it can be caused from an accident. >> [FOREIGN] >> Or someody falls. >> [FOREIGN] >> Or somebody suffers emotional trauma. >> [FOREIGN] >> Or when somebody has been impacted, and it turns out being an emotion, it converts to an emotional trauma. >> [FOREIGN] >> When somebody has these types of consequences. >> [FOREIGN] >> Regularly what we do is we see those types of consequences. Maybe they're not sleeping, they're nervous, they're not eating well. Or they're eating too much because they want to do anything so that they could physically feel better. >> [FOREIGN] >> But it's also has a lot for those people that are trying to sleep a little bit. >> [FOREIGN] >> And they jump, they get shocked. >> [FOREIGN] >> And when they've woken up from that startled, and they're not able to sleep anymore. >> [FOREIGN] >> That's one clear indication that we can see when somebody has been shocked or is suffering from fright. >> [FOREIGN] >> So we're going to explain. >> [FOREIGN] >> When we're going to do a healing of shock or fright. >> [FOREIGN] >> We try to heat two sheets. >> [FOREIGN] >> And the preference is that we're going to do that with the light of sun rays. >> [FOREIGN] >> And the preference is that we do this treatment at noon, in the middle of the day. >> [FOREIGN] >> We're going to give a small explanation. >> [FOREIGN] >> There are different ways that different people. >> [FOREIGN] >> Practice traditional medicine, >> [FOREIGN] >> As we all form our own style. >> [FOREIGN] >> So I'm going to explain to you what it is that we need for a susto. >> [FOREIGN] >> We can prepare a maceration. >> [FOREIGN] >> With different petals of flowers. >> [FOREIGN] >> We could put basil. >> [FOREIGN] >> These plants are important. >> [FOREIGN] >> The preference is that they be fresh. >> [FOREIGN] >> And we'd put them here in this container. >> [FOREIGN] >> So that we're creating a solution. >> [FOREIGN] >> But also so that we have hot plants. >> [FOREIGN] >> This is rue, and this is rosemary. >> [FOREIGN] >> We also have Santa Maria, which is feverfew. >> [FOREIGN] >> And we also have petals of flowers. >> [FOREIGN] >> And we're going to use, this is rubbing alcohol. >> [FOREIGN] >> So that these herbs. >> [FOREIGN] >> Release all of their properties. >> [FOREIGN] >> And we're going to let this formula rest. >> [FOREIGN] >> About two weeks. >> [FOREIGN] >> We will put their date on the container. >> [FOREIGN] >> I'm explaining this procedure to you real quickly. >> [FOREIGN] >> But it's important here that we would do a prayer while we're preparing the solution. >> [FOREIGN] >> When the herbs are then ready. >> [FOREIGN] >> We would put them in a spray bottle or a container. >> [FOREIGN] >> But also you can do this with dry plants. >> [FOREIGN] >> Dry plants. >> [FOREIGN] >> Or green plants. >> [FOREIGN] >> You could also prepare your own ointments. >> [FOREIGN] >> So that you can massage in the joints. >> [FOREIGN] >> With permission, we're going to do a massage here. >> [FOREIGN] >> Here we're preparing a stem of fresh herbs. >> [FOREIGN] >> The preference is to get what grows in your garden. >> [FOREIGN] >> We're also going to use our or sahumerio. >> [FOREIGN] >> What we're going to do in this moment. >> [FOREIGN] >> We're going to imagine that these sheets have already been heated by the Sun at noon in the middle of the day. >> [FOREIGN] >> I'm going to put this bunch of herbs here for him. >> [FOREIGN] >> I'm going to protect his eyes. >> [FOREIGN] >> And I'm going to try. >> [FOREIGN] >> To relax him with songs. >> [FOREIGN] >> But now I'm explaining to you. >> [FOREIGN] >> This therapy. >> [FOREIGN] >> Is normally done in silence. >> [FOREIGN] >> When the Sun is at its strongest peak. >> [FOREIGN] >> And what I would normally do. >> [FOREIGN] >> I will start massaging all of the joints. >> [FOREIGN] >> In a way to relax the body. >> [FOREIGN] >> And i want to ask him that he begin to remember. >> [FOREIGN] >> The moment. >> [FOREIGN] >> In which he suffered the fright. >> [FOREIGN] >> The idea of relaxing him. >> [FOREIGN] >> It's to give to him trust and to develop trust with him. >> [FOREIGN] >> And what we want him to do is go into a state of relaxation. >> [FOREIGN] >> And here's what I'm going to do. >> [FOREIGN] >> And I'm going to explain, even though I've already explained this is a very relaxing process. >> [FOREIGN] >> And because I already have the solution that's ready. >> [FOREIGN] >> This is the same, but this is just ready at this point. >> [FOREIGN] >> I'm going to wet my hands. >> [FOREIGN] >> Warm them on the body. >> [FOREIGN] >> And we're going to warm the body as much as we can. >> [FOREIGN] >> Inhaling and exhaling. >> [FOREIGN] >> Once I have massaged him really well. >> [FOREIGN] >> With the solution that I have prepared. >> [FOREIGN] >> Inhale and exhale, please. >> [FOREIGN] >> Inhale and exhale. >> [FOREIGN] >> Inhale and exhale. >> [FOREIGN] >> And I continue talking to him. >> [FOREIGN] >> I insist that he has to remember the trauma of the moment. >> [FOREIGN] >> If you could start thinking of the trauma, Tom. >> [FOREIGN] >> And I'm going to ask permission. >> [FOREIGN] >> In the name of the Heaven and the Earth. >> [FOREIGN] >> Of the four directions. >> [FOREIGN] >> And I ask for a lot of will >> [FOREIGN] >> So I too can begin to relax and concentrate. >> [FOREIGN] >> This stem of herbs. >> [FOREIGN] >> Remove its stress and its emotions. >> [FOREIGN] >> We offer that stress to the Mother Earth, we release it. >> [FOREIGN] >> The plants that she is holding in her hand are rosemary, basil rue and lavender. And they were picked from our garden this morning. >> [FOREIGN] >> And I'm going to slowly and slowly start sweeping and cleansing the body. >> [FOREIGN] >> I put the plants. >> [FOREIGN] >> Really close to him so that he can start with the aroma, relax very deeply. >> [FOREIGN] >> And what I'm going to do. >> [FOREIGN] >> And another time, and consciously. >> [FOREIGN] >> He needs to keep thinking that he needs to return to relax, breathe in deeply. >> [FOREIGN] >> And to yell out your name on the count of three. >> [FOREIGN] >> Tom! >> Tom! >> [FOREIGN] >> She said, Tom, return. >> [FOREIGN] >> You are here on the Earth, Tom. >> [FOREIGN] >> Let that sadness go. >> [FOREIGN] >> And that trauma. >> [FOREIGN] >> And don't give permission that it stays in your body. >> [FOREIGN] >> With all of the strength, Tom. >> [FOREIGN] >> Say with all, yell out your name. >> [FOREIGN] >> On the count of three. >> Tom! >> [FOREIGN] >> And we can clean, and clean the body. >> [FOREIGN] >> Breathe and release all your sadness with strength, yell out your name. We exhale. >> [FOREIGN] >> My sahumerio, the chalice. >> [FOREIGN] >> Helps to smudge. >> [FOREIGN] >> So I can try to harmonize. >> [FOREIGN] >> I begin to smudge the body. >> [FOREIGN] >> And I start from the bottom up to the head. >> [FOREIGN] >> I continue saying my own prayers. >> [FOREIGN] >> And I continue relaxing. >> [FOREIGN] >> I just have finished the back, the top part. >> [FOREIGN] >> And I start. >> [FOREIGN] >> To relax the body again. >> [FOREIGN] >> Inhale and exhale, and turn over, please. >> [FOREIGN] >> [FOREIGN] >> I continue with songs. >> [FOREIGN] >> I invite him to continue breathing. >> [FOREIGN] >> I want him to relax again. >> [FOREIGN] >> And sometimes I'm talking to him. >> [FOREIGN] >> So that I can let him know. >> [FOREIGN] >> How important. >> [FOREIGN] >> That it is for him. >> [FOREIGN] >> To start to get consciousness. >> [FOREIGN] >> That he needs to enter into a state of responsibility. >> [FOREIGN] >> To harmonize the body. >> [FOREIGN] >> This is actually healing that will take about an hour. >> [FOREIGN] >> And I will do the same on the front as I did on the back. >> [FOREIGN] >> My intention now in this moment. >> [FOREIGN] >> Is asking him to concentrate. >> [FOREIGN] >> I continue talking to him. >> [FOREIGN] >> That he needs to give gratitude to the plants. >> [FOREIGN] >> Inhale. >> [FOREIGN] >> And one more time. >> [FOREIGN] >> Breathe in deeply. >> [FOREIGN] >> Yell out your name, please. >> Tom! >> [FOREIGN] [FOREIGN] >> Do not think so much. >> [FOREIGN] >> Outside of yourself. >> [FOREIGN] >> You're here on the Earth. >> [FOREIGN] >> And here, one more time, just because for the lack of time. >> [FOREIGN] >> I give thanks. >> [FOREIGN] >> To the Heavens and the Earth. >> [FOREIGN] >> I continue talking to him. >> [FOREIGN] >> So that he can know. >> [FOREIGN] >> That it's important. >> [FOREIGN] >> To accept. >> [FOREIGN] >> That he needs to start to be in peace. >> [FOREIGN] >> And then I would give recommendations on what types of teas that he would drink. >> [FOREIGN] >> So he can be in harmonization. >> [FOREIGN] >> And he could be calm. [FOREIGN] >> [FOREIGN] >> Normally this treatment completely would last about an hour to an hour and a half. >> [FOREIGN] >> We always ask him to take the plants with him. >> [FOREIGN] >> So that he can return them to the Mother Earth. >> [FOREIGN] >> Thank you very much for allowing us. >> [FOREIGN] >> Thank you, Tom. >> [FOREIGN] >> Thank you. >> [FOREIGN] >> [FOREIGN] >> How do you feel, Tom? >> Okay. >> Wonderful, well, thank you so much, Tom. >> Absolutely, thank you very much. >> What a wonderful demonstration of susto. And everybody goes through traumatic experiences at one time or another >> [FOREIGN] >> [FOREIGN] >> [FOREIGN] >> [FOREIGN] Thank you. >> Thank you very much.
