Hi guys, and welcome back to our Iles reading section of the test today will continue learning about various strategies and tips and how to pass aisles exams successfully. Before we begin learning new strategies and tips and new task types, I would like to go back and review what we studied last time. Now we are going to have overview to the previous lesson as you guys remember last time I mentioned that I was reading module had three long passages, you will be given 60 minutes to complete all three of them. Also, you need to answer 40 different questions, so 40 questions in total and you won't have additional time to transfer your answers, so you have to make sure you're using your 60 minutes wisely. Also, remember that reading passages progress in a difficulty. You will be asked to read and answer academic passages from different journals, magazines, books, and newspapers. And if you are completing general training so you'll be reading topics from various resources such as flyers, notices, timetables, documents, newspaper, etc. Remember, there are many question types in the reading modules that you need to know how to answer before taking your test. So today, we'll continue learning different task types and how to approach them during the test. And now we are going to review labeling a diagram type of task in the IELTS exam. You'll be asked to label the diagram below. Choose no more than two words from the reading passage for each answer and write your answers in your answer sheet. Remember to read carefully your directions, because sometimes you might be asked to write only one word. Sometimes, it can be two words or three words, so you have to make sure the exact amount you need to write down. The first thing you have to do when you're completing a particular task is to scan the text for keywords that indicate location. The words that indicate location sound like next to above, across, beneath, and so on. We have so many different kinds of words that indicate locations, so you have to make sure that you know them, and you scan your passage to find them, to locate them. And that's the important thing to do when you're completing labelling diagram type of task is to look forward that indicate geometric patterns such a square rectangle, etc. And remember, you don't need to write down your articles, such as a, n, and the, and remember that they are also counted as words. If you write an apple, they will be counted as two words. All right, remember the important tip as well. Labelling diagram questions your ability to translate the words into pictures when you read turning your words into pictures in your head. You can also try to write a simple drawing on your handout, or on your draft paper. That will help you to understand that the passage better and answer the questions correctly. So as you see here, we have a diagram where you have to fill out two parts so you need to name. You need to name two parts of this padlock, and also you need to read the passage. So you have a little paragraph in here, and you also have a instructions for you to complete, so make sure you read them carefully because here it's us. You can write no more than two words, however, sometimes you can ask you to write three words or one word, so make sure you know exactly how many words you can write. And then, after seeing your diagram, go back to your passage and try to read it when you are reading. You also can draw, as I told you earlier, and then pay attention to words that have geometric patterns, and also the words that indicate locations. So these are very important points to remember. So find the words that indicate location. These words can be behind, next to, and also words that indicate geometric patterns. So these are like words, bisect, or it can be a triangle, so because they're describing different shapes, so keep in mind these tips and I will help you to indicate to find the correct information. Now we are going to review our next task about completing sentences. In the IELTS exam, you will be asked to complete the sentences and choose one word only from the passage for each answer. When you have a particular test, you have to try to complete the sentences first, read them carefully and then go back to the passage, and shake your answer. Then you have to skim the passage looking for synonyms, paraphrases, or just the words that have the same meaning. Remember that the world that complete the sentence will be the same word in the passage, so you cannot write down the word you predict or you think will be correct. In that case, it has to be exactly the same word you find in the passage. And the most important part to remember that's grammatical form has to be the same. When you're completing a particular task, keep in mind that you have to make sure the worthy right in the blank matches grammatically, because if it doesn't match grammatically, even the word itself is correct. But it's not correct grammatically, for example, you wrote subject instead of adjective, it will be counted as a incorrect answer. Here, I would like you to take a look at our paragraph, and, as you see, so we have directions that states the following read the paragraph feeling each blank who's one word only from the paragraph. So when you come to your test, please pay attention. How many words you can write and we have one paragraph and we have three sentences in here as you see, so number one you have blank. Insomnia is a sleep disorder that lasts a short period of time. So focus on your keywords. So you have to fill out what kind of insomnia, ask yourself a question. What kind of insomnia? And then it's a sleep disorder that last a short period of time. So, the most important keywords in here a short period of time continues. So some kind of insomnia. It's a sleep disorder, and it continues very short time. So try to paraphrase the sentence and go back to your reading and start reading so and try to find this information. So, I'm trying to see okay. Okay, so here, for example, guys, we have acute insomnia last for just a few days or weeks, and it's often brought on the bike, dramatic events such as job loss or death of a loved one. So acute insomnia. Do you see? So in this case, what a cute I'm going to highlight, and this is a word I need to write down in number one. So acute insomnia and sleep disorders that last a short period of time so dramatically it sounds correct. And also, I know this is the correct word because you see, we have a paraphrase last a short period of time, last just a few days or weeks. So this is a short period of time to that's how I know that. Number one, for number one, we should pick a word acute. Alright, guys, and the same way you are going to complete your number two and three. So make sure you read your sentences carefully, and then try to think of the words you have in different ways. So paraphrase different synonyms and go back to your text and find that paraphrasing synonyms, and read very carefully and make sure that you was grammatically fit in the sentence.
