And what we see in the sermon again is a use of verse.
As the sermon becomes more and more energized, it
moves from a pro's style of spoken language like we're going to be
reading from Chapter 10, Verse 53 in John,
the Book of John, to verses, short staccato verses,
and that change occurs as the spirit enters the church,
as the preacher began to get more call and response.
If he's a great preacher then the congregation begins to
respond with phrases like, yes Lord, preach on, Preacher.
And they begin to sing and even get possessed with the Spirit.
And it's the preacher and the sermon who leads them on that powerful,
highly emotional journey.
>> Who I love, and by one whom the blood has been applied.
He has a telephone, and when trouble rides, he can call on his gold.
What I love about him, the line is never busy,
you can call in the morning, you can call at high 12.
And what I love about him, is you can call late hours of midnight,
where the line never get too busy.
But there, he can hear his son cry.
>> I had, when I was five or six years old, is to, preach.
But everything would die,
and I would always be the preacher to preach those down on the stream.
But during that time they were preaching praying ground and
went down through the woods and different places, trying to find the Lord.
And I went down there several times trying to find him, and
I never did run up on him down there in those woods, and
then have the knowledge to know that I was carrying him along with me.
