This is a four week long course designed to give you the foundations of operations management. This course is organized in a set of modules. We start with an introduction module, followed by a module on process analysis. The following set of four modules is basically mirroring the four dimensions of operational performance that we just saw in the restaurant, and in the hospital case. They were productivity, customization, responsiveness, and quality. So that you can get quick feedback in how you are doing in this course, we've created a set of homework assignments. There is a final exam to allow you to demonstrate what you have learned in this course. Many of you are applying the concepts of this course to your work environment. For this reason, we created an optional course project. The course projects allows you transfer the knowledge that you could learn here in theory to the practice of your daily life at work.
