This course is crucial to understanding all the whats, whys, and gotchas of machine learning.

Excellent course for understanding the basics of a large variety of machine learning topics. Very well paced, and everything was explained in perfect brevity; applying what I learned became very easy. A good Math (Linear algebra, calculus) background is much welcome, I feel, to fully appreciate some of the algorithms and their reasoning.

Though people usually dont use Octave, i feel octave is a good one for beginners to understand basics !

This is an recommended course for anyone who start with Machine Learning. Thank a lot Mr. Andrew and Coursera.
